Case Study 1 : Grapes at Solapur
•Location – Madha gaon, Solapur District
•Farmer name – Shivaji Jadhav
•Total area – 25 acre
•Target crop – Grapes
•Target area – 1 acre
Problem statement / Farmer concern
•Farmer shared issues of smaller berries, less abundant grapes bunch and fewer flowers leading to lower yield and lower quality of grape vines.
•In a bid to solve the same he approached a local govt colab lab along with the near by farmers. Results and recommendation received were skeptical as same type of report was handed over to all of the farmers.
•As per local fertilizer shop recommendation he shifted to expensive water soluble variants but didn’t show much improvement in his yield and quality.
